The Finch is a 6-story, 276-unit market-rate apartment, and is the second phase of a recently completed residential building project in Edina. This project offers resort-style living next to Fred Richards Park with rooftop patios and enhanced landscaping design. Connecting the site to the adjacent public trail was central to our design hurdles and involved incorporating a unique vehicular-limited streetscape similar to a traditional woonerf. This provided shared space for pedestrians and bikers with vibrant landscape elements and greater social connectivity, while also allowing emergency/delivery vehicular access.
