ENTRY LEVEL LANDSCAPE DESIGNER / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Civil Site Group has an immediate opening for a Landscape Architect/Project Designer.  The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, hard-working pre-professional. This role will offer tremendous growth potential and career enlargement for the right candidate.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Preparing site development plans utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Preparing landscape plans and details utilizing Civil 3D

  • Coordination with developers, architects, and government staff

  • General CAD drafting - site, demolition, utilities, etc.

  • Grading, rendering, stormwater modeling

  • Preparing stormwater management plans to comply with MN regulatory guidelines

  • Engineering cost estimates

  • General office management / coordination of duties

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The following qualifications are preferred but not required for the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture

  • Possess 1-5 years of experience performing similar duties

  • Excellent communication with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to follow directions and take initiative

  • Possess a working knowledge and understanding of Civil 3D and AutoCAD

  • Professional licensure not required.

Civil Site Group has an immediate opening for a Professional Civil Engineer, with 3-10 years of industry experience.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Preparing site development plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D

  • General CAD drafting - site, demolition, utilities, etc.

  • Project management, entitlement processing

  • Preparing stormwater management plans to comply with MN regulatory guidelines

  • Grading, rendering, stormwater modeling

  • Engineering cost estimates

  • Coordination with developers, architects, and government staff

  • General office management / coordination of duties

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The following qualifications are preferred but not required for the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

  • 3-10 years of experience performing similar duties

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Civil 3D and HydroCAD software

  • Training with and understanding of roadway and transportation design (water & sewer)

ENTRY LEVEL CIVIL ENGINEER / CIVIL ENGINEER IN-TRAINING (EIT)

We currently have an opening for an Entry Level Civil Engineer/Civil Engineer In-Training.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Primary duties include CAD drafting and engineering design for site, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and paving.  Specific responsibilities include assisting various Project Managers in plan preparation, analyzing site constraints, performing zoning code review and governing entity requirements, and performing basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting tasks and engineering calculations. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The following qualifications are preferred but not required for the ideal candidate:

  • 1+ years of successful job related professional experience in the Civil Engineering industry.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow directions and take initiative.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team to balance the workload to accommodate demands of the job to exceed client expectations.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D 2018, HydroCAD, and Terramodel.

SURVEY CREW CHIEF

Are you ready to advance your survey career? At Civil Site Group, you will be able to build your career and have a diverse workload including: boundary, topographic, ALTA, platting and construction staking services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Use and understand survey equipment such as total stations, GPS and data collectors

  • Download and upload survey data to and from the office

  • Read construction plans

  • Locate property corners

  • Communicate with project team including owners, managers, clients and co-workers.

  • Perform work duties including but not limited to: digging holes for monuments, walking on rugged terrain, and obtaining invert information on utilities.

  • Valid driver’s license that meets our company’s insurance requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The following qualifications are preferred but not required for the ideal candidate:

  • 3+ years of successful job related professional experience in the surveying industry or a Bachelor’s Degree with 32 credits in land surveying with at least 1 year as a crew chief.

SURVEY TECHNICIAN / LAND SURVEYOR IN-TRAINING (LSIT)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Research and obtaining project documents including: gopher state one calls, half section maps, section corner ties, plats, control points, benchmarks, city

  • as-built plans, zoning information, FEMA maps, aerial photos, computer comps (search points and DXF files), create field folder files for new projects.

  • Assisting registered surveyors with CAD productions, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparations, legal descriptions, and computing survey points.

  • Processing of raw field data.

  • Daft various survey deliverables.

  • Complete QA/QC relines checks.

  • Coordinate and work with filed crews and other office staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

The following qualifications are preferred but not required for the ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years of successful job related professional experience in the surveying industry or a Bachelor’s Degree with 32 credits in land surveying.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assisting survey crew chiefs in the field with pounding hubs, measuring, utility reports

  • Training-in and operating survey equipment

  • Assisting engineers with project tasks like flattening and printing plans

  • Conducting site visits, taking and cataloging photographs

  • Assisting engineers and landscape architects with permit and land use applications

  • Assisting engineers and landscape architects with details in CAD

  • Assisting with business development projects

  • Periodic courier work
