LAND PLANNING
LAND planning SERVICES
-LAND PLANNING
Land planning is a comprehensive process that involves the preliminary analysis, schematic design, and management of natural land resources to achieve site specific goals and objectives. Civil Site Group works with land planning stakeholders such as developers, architects, government agencies, and community members to create comprehensive design and planning deliverables. Our land planning capabilities encompass urban development, environmental conservation, infrastructure planning, community place making and overall site planning. Civil Site Group also has the technical ability to develop master plans for small to large scale civil projects. We carefully program master plans that manage a site's future growth, promote efficient land use, and establish design foundations for vibrant and livable communities. Our efforts in turn, help shape the physical and social fabric of a project area, ensuring that future development occurs in a coordinated and thoughtful manner and that the built environment complements native site elements.
Analysis and Assessment
-LAND PLANNING
Civil Site Group works with project stakeholders to complete analysis and assessment activities to identify strengths, limitations, and potential best uses of a site. Our efforts begin with a thorough analysis of the existing conditions of a subject property, which may include reviewing topographic and boundary data, soil quality information, an environmental assessment and an inventory of natural resources or environmental factors on site.
During this process, we also establish physical and programmatic goals and objectives the project. These may relate to sustainable design, preservation or enhancement of natural areas, efficient use of space, or the creation of a vibrant community.

- LAND PLANNING
Civil Site Group guides clients through Community Development projects from early concept planning to construction. Our team of experts are familiar with local and region specific design and building considerations. Concept projects are most often realized and built when city/regulatory rules and objectives like zoning, economic growth, environmental impact, or social inclusivity, are balanced with developer goals and overall project financial viability.
This harmony between private investment and public entitlements is most often achieved by designing robust urban settings, which offer meaningful areas for both public and private use.

green infrastructure
-LAND PLANNING
With a goal of integrating community and environmental objectives in our projects, our Land Planners leverage Green Infrastructure best practices to design site features and systems with net positive environmental impact. These may include management or mitigation of stormwater runoff through hybrid pipe and swale systems, soil cleanup and remediation measures, introducing permeable surfaces, green/blue roofs, or specialty landscape features.
Our goal is to integrate these green features with traditional Gray Infrastructure to promote air and water quality, increased biodiversity, climate resiliency, habitat management, and community growth.

- LAND PLANNING
Master planning is a comprehensive and strategic process used to guide development projects, with the aim of managing growth, promoting efficient land use and creating vibrant and livable communities. It involves analyzing various factors such as land use, economic forecasting, community needs, infrastructure, transportation, and environmental objectives to create a long-term vision and framework for site development.
Civil Site Group and project stakeholders collaborate to assess a proposed project site, identifying its potential strengths and weaknesses, and determining development goals and best uses. Our overall goal is to develop a roadmap for decision-making, ensuring that future development aligns with a coherent project vision.
