Located in the historic Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood near the Grain Belt Brewery, N&E is a 5-story, 93-unit live/work community designed with a strong pedestrian-friendly focus. The development activates the local streetscape with a corner restaurant and leverages its proximity to the Mississippi River and a neighboring open plaza to provide residents with accessible green space. Featuring a range of studio, one-, and two-bedroom floor plans, the building is designed with large windows to maximize daylighting and offer expansive views of the river and the Downtown Minneapolis skyline.

To support its urban, live/work mission, the project incorporates a comprehensive array of resident-focused amenities, including a rooftop garden, a bike lounge with a repair room, a social room, and fitness facilities. The architectural palette utilizes brick on the first floor to ground the building at the pedestrian level, with cement board siding above to highlight the modern window configurations. The result is a well-integrated residential landmark that balances industrial-inspired materials with high-performance community spaces, effectively blending the building into the fabric of the surrounding neighborhood.
