We provided comprehensive civil engineering, site grading, and landscape design services to revitalize the functionality of the Maple Grove Executive Plaza. The project’s primary challenge involved modernizing the existing parking lot and improving traffic circulation while strictly adhering to the original site footprint. Additionally, the design required a strategic solution to connect the plaza to a neighboring city trail situated at a lower elevation than the parking area.

To resolve long-standing circulation issues, our team removed existing parking islands that had previously acted as barriers to efficient traffic flow. This redesign not only streamlined movement throughout the site but also successfully increased the total number of parking stalls. By optimizing the layout, we were also able to integrate a new employee break area, providing a dedicated outdoor amenity that significantly enhanced the professional environment.

To bridge the elevation gap to the city trail, we removed a portion of an existing berm and installed a natural stone boulder wall to manage the grade change. This intervention created a clear, accessible path from the building entrance directly to the community trail system. The final result is a highly efficient site that balances improved logistics with seamless pedestrian connectivity.
