At White Bear Lake Montessori School, our team provided full site design for a new building addition and a smarter parking lot layout, all while working within tight constraints. To avoid triggering additional stormwater management requirements, we stayed under 10,000 SF of new and reconstructed impervious surface, using a mill and overlay approach with a new striping plan that added 18 parking spaces within the existing footprint. Existing trees and outdoor classroom green space were preserved to the maximum extent possible, keeping the school's beloved learning environment intact.

New grading for handicap stalls and ADA accessible routes into the building rounded out the scope, delivering the accessibility the site was missing without compromising what made it special. Our full design scope included demolition, site, grading, utilities, landscape, and SWPPP plans, as well as construction staking throughout the project.
